I don't find this typeface hard to read, but there's nothing wrong with using a more typical typeface for the steps themselves and using this one for things like the step numbers and the title.
I think its reads nicely. I guess it will depend on the images and other text type you use for the body text, but I think as a heading it is clear and readable.
